This beats the other two parks we stayed at that charged $10-$15 more per night. It’s well lit for walking your dog at night. Yes there’s traffic but easy on/off I-40 as well as tons of stores. The grey haired lady at the desk was wonderful, explaining what to do and see while here, even had free fresh popcorn. It’s a campground not a graveyard so noises are to be expected. Turn up the tv and enjoy your stay. We’ll definitely make this a designated stop on our way through next time.
We spent the last night at the Rockwell RV Park & Campground in Oklahoma City, OK. Luckily, this was a one night stay kind of place. We did have a tree on our site, and the site was level with full hookups. It's basically a parking lot with many full-timers. Wifi wasn't great and the park is right off the highway. The full timers close to us decided to make a lot of noise last night at 11 PM. One of the three trucks on their site fired up his truck for at least 45 minutes. We did not use the indoor pool or hot tub, as they didn't look appealing to us. I went inside to turn in our card this morning and there were no muffins to be found as advertised. I felt sorry for the bison they have corralled up in a fairly small area for that herd. They were not roaming the property as advertised. The park isn't as the pictures depict it to be and it was overpriced. We will skip staying in Oklahoma City next trip.

Basic park with level gravel sites. Laundry and showers clean. WiFi is ok. Stores and restaurants close by. They have bison on property to get up close to. Some sites have big trees, others do not.

Two bath houses with one at office building. Laundrey facilities, indoor pool & hot tub, and buffalo on site.

We’ve stayed here several times over the last year. Close to shopping, I40, food and good stop for the next day travel. But, this time was different. Called ahead like always to make reservation was told didn’t need one. Odd? We drove an hour off longer than our usual drive time just to get there. Planning on g kids swimming while do some laundry and maybe go out to eat. On arrival we’re met as we step out of our coach by an unleashed dog. Asked office if dogs just run wild now? Well it’s a friendly dog. Told her if dogs just run wild we’re not staying here. Dog was still loose when we left. Evidently the long term people have taken over and this is now a mobile home park. Skip this place. So sad. Once was a great place.
The pros:
Close to i40
Not too noisy
Staff was nice
Owned by Christians
Some nice trees for a little shade
Pull thru level spots
The cons:
The advertised indoor pool needed to be cleaned—had oily film on top and was cloudy. Too gross to swim.
Lots of full timers.
Didn’t feel the safest ever being right near the city and with all the full timers.
Wifi was slow but worked. Overall a fine stay but this place would be better for just an overnight. No playground for the kids.

I’ve read bad reviews online outside of Roadtrippers. The park isn’t bad. It’s really convenient to everything. Food, shopping, site seeing. Park is well maintained. All hookups work and are taken care of. Inside pool is a little cloudy. Bathhouse is the worst part which is why I give 3 stars. It’s not unkept; but it feels dirty. I think it’s the rock floors being dark. All in all we would stay here again if we come through.
Dirt lot with locations for RVs. Defensibly not a nature park. There are lots of full time RVs in the campground. It is fine for an overnight stay I cannot understand why you would want to stay her for much longer. It is very close to the expressway and the site are good size, making it a very easy in and out. Their water has a bit of a smell, put on a filter if possible. They have a grass area for tents that appeared nice with a few trees. The Bison are located on property and they have a very active Bison meat business. I understand when you go to a campground you are a guest however; I like to feel welcome and able to relax leaving the real world behind. This campground does not feel like an oasis, when you enter there is a sea of white and red signs with rules on them and when you enter the office you are surrounded by their political choice. Their rules are more like bulling you to behave. The signs at the entrance are EVERYWHERE around the campground telling you what will happen if you don't follow their rules. I completely understand the need for rules and consequences however, I don’t what to be staring at them when I am sitting outside my camper. You feel like your camping in a Jail and their waiting for you to do something. Here are a few examples. As soon as you pull in before any welcome, there is a big sign stating if anyone steals from this campground a $2000 reward will be placed to find you. There are signs on everything telling you to stay off or do not touch. Their rules they hand you state if do not pay your rent on time and an attorney is involved, they will take your RV. There is a huge sign on the office door showing they had to replace a pump due to baby wipes and states what will happen if they find you putting anything down the toilet. The receipt you are given states “TENANT AGREES TO REIMBURSE ROCKWELL FOR DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE CAUSED BY TENANT.” Some campers may like the ridged signage but for me it was a bit much. I feel give me a copy of the rules and punish the ones that do not follow them.
