With sandy dunes and small-town vibes, Ogunquit is the perfect place for families to relax and explore their creative side. With a summer playhouse and a small American art museum, see locals at work and fall in love with the wild beaches and breaking of waves.
Climb up to Marginal Way and enjoy beautiful views of the town, ocean and lighthouse! It's truly spectacular.
We think a visit here is one of the best weekend getaways in New England!
An amazing walk and it's Maines Coast. You can't ask for more. Start north and work your way down to Perkins Cove. Eat shop and walk the road back to see some of the Nicky
Landscaped houses and hotels.
Absolutely perfect ocean side walkway that is paved. This walkway goes from the Ogunquit beach area south to Perkins Cove.
The scenery is a quintessential Maine shoreline with powerful waves crashing against the rocks at high tide with a bit of wind was amazing. There are numerous benches along the way to rest or to just take in the seaside air as you listen to the waves.
This is kind of like Newport RI, minus the mansions and adding the ability to actually get down to the rocks and water instead of being on a cliff.
Didn't know what to expect when we stopped but ended up being a wonderful stroll on the beach on a beautiful beach town. Loved it here!
