“preserving memorabilia of the Americans who have served our country”
The Mission of The GI Museum is to preserve memorabilia representing the generations of Americans who have served our country so that we remain free today. Through displays and educational programs, it is our goal to make sure we never forget their sacrifice. The GI Museum is fully capable of restoring historical artifacts as close to their original state as possible. Our work includes four military jeeps, lights from USS Biloxi, and we are currently in the process of restoring two Huey Helicopters.
The museum is only open on Wednesdays and every other Sunday... But it is so worth it! Hard to find as it is back off the main road but has an amazing collection of uniforms, memorabilia, and weapons. We are huge fans of military museums and this one had so many items we had never seen before. Best part - we had our own personal guide who was extremely knowledgeable. We spent 3 hours here and it seemed like 20 minutes. Well worth visiting!
