“changing lives through the visual arts”
FAVA Gallery is housed in the New Union Center for the Arts in downtown Oberlin. It is a beautiful historical building that was originally a public school for children. Recently renovated, the new school bell now rings at noon and 6 p.m. The FAVA Gallery presents changing exhibits of high quality artwork in a variety of styles and media. The gallery also†features Uncommon Objects, which provides a venue for local, state and regional artists to display and sell handcrafted, original, contemporary art. Our Selection Committee ensures that the work is of either one-of-a-kind or of high quality and original contemporary design. The Firelands Association for the Visual Arts is dedicated to enhancing public appreciation of and participation in the visual arts through exhibitions and related educational and community activities.
