The only redeeming qualities was friendly staff and a clean pool.
Don't get me wrong, the lady at the front desk was super nice and the facilities were clean. But if we're just being honest, this is a parking lot next to a trailer community behind a casino. We fell asleep to the sounds of a fiesta (sounded super fun but not helpful for sleeping), were woken up in the middle of the night to a domestic disburse, and listened to the growing sounds of a cat from a ride in one of the nearby casinos on loop. It wasn't my favorite stay and we won't be back.
Positives:
Right off interstate
Wifi works great
Not crowded
Clean
Negatives:
Pole Light at campsite shines thru camper all night
Casino next door was noisy- stay on backside probably wouldn't be as bad
Shower head in handicapped stall sprayed out of the sides of the hand held, wetting everything in shower(including bench)
Unacceptable:
Morning host was extremely rude. Made coffee(says it's for guests), the milk container on the coffee stand wasn't opened yet so I asked if it was okay to open and she was very condesending in advisor it wasn't for guests. So, the free coffee means black coffee only.
Men and women's toilets can both be accessed via the back hallway so be careful allowing your little ones to go in alone.

Stayed 9/22/16 and 10/5/17. We have done overnights here on our way to Reno. The park seems fairly secure as it is surrounded by a fence. The park is located right in town amongst the casinos. The two time we have been there have been quiet and allowed us to get the rest we needed to continue our trip. It is easy to get to from the highway. We would do another stop over in the future.

Full hook ups, 50 amps, pull through site. Clean restrooms with showers. Showers are a bit cramped but have a bench and hooks. NO WIFI. Two dog enclosures. It is in the desert, so some trees, a bit of grass by the office/store and entrance. Picnic tables overall were pretty poor as many were small and most needed paint/repair.

This was the last resort as there was no place else to stay! The parking lot across from the Rainbow casino is a hill and noisy. The $40 "campground" at the other casino was a small circle that I would not fit in, it was nasty for $40!!
So off to the KOA. Was a lot nicer but $35 for a non hookup site is kinda high, but all koa's are high. It was a pull-through.
I stayed here on 6/25/22 in a 30' trailer.

$52 including tax for 30/20 amp and with KOA membership. Just stayed one night. Super plain, small, dog “run” but it’s basically the desert so….A clean but small bathroom. Store somewhat stocked. Hardly anyone here. Pool was refreshing

T.HE GOOD
Location: Very close to gas, restaurants, and groceries.
Location: Minutes from Bonneville Salt Flats and other natural places to see. Note that you will need to drive 30 min east to turn around and come back west another 30 min (1 hour total drive from the KOA) to stop at the more popular westbound viewpoint. However, The BLM parking location is only 20 min from the KOA.
Maintenance: Clean campground that was well-maintained.
COULD BE BETTER:
Sites: all gravel. So, not really a pretty site. More convenient and at a decent price.
WORTH NOTING (not good or bad thing)
Noise: The night we were there, 3 vehicles were doing doughnuts in the parking lots across the street. Not sure if this is a regular thing. Again, worth noting.
Pests: We did see some roaches at the water connection area at night. This can unfortunately be a part of being outdoors. But, figured to note it.

This KOA is at a great crossroads for many SW or western adventures. Lots of space in October, and can arrive late - they leave all the info for you at the office, and can check in remotely via internet. Spaces are level with utilities, but no real landscaping. Bathrooms and showers are clean with hot water, not luxurious but get the job done. close to gas and food if necessary. From a security standpoint the facility is well lit but it never gets dark at night. And the train which runs nearby can be loud. But for a one night travel stay works well

Arrived around 9pm with no night attendant, and no reservation. It was ok because everything was laid out near the office door. Pricing, details on where to park, and a paper with a lot of info on it. Big park with plenty of space between RV’s. I didn’t pay till the next morning, which the lady was ok with and extremely nice. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry room are super clean. They have anything you’ll need while you’re there including propane, firewood, FULL HOOKUPS, partial hookups, and a dump station. You have options here which also include great spots for tents, and cabins to rent. Location is also great being right behind the Red Garter and Rainbow casinos. Only one negative, beware of your pets paws. Lots of stickers everywhere. 9/10 from us!
