Cell phone coverage is almost zero. I don't consider this to be be a problem. Before cell phones existed, being disconnected was a way of life.
Most sites are grass. Ours had a bit of a slope, but nothing terrible. We were able to level the RV without much difficulty.
Fire rings and picnic tables on most (all??) sites. Water pressure was our only complaint. It was usable, but very low.
I would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed for one night. Beautiful setting with great views of the lake. What a gem. Our only complaint is we had extremely low water pressure so we filled our tank and used our pump. Problem solved!

This place is stunning. Sprawling grassy area with a beautiful view of the water. I believe all the sites are grass, so they’re not always level, but we leveled our rig easily with blocks. We had no cell service (AT&T) but wifi worked well. Very low water pressure. Well off the freeway, so no road noise. Fire ring at each site and you can get a bin of wood for $10. They were happy to deliver it to our site for us. I wish we had been able to stay more than one night. We will definitely be back.

What a great campground. Right on the lake. Grassy beautiful sites. Very low water pressure and very limited lake access. Easy access for our 40 foot fifth wheel and plenty of space.

My husband and I stayed here (with our 2 dogs) during the week before Memorial Day weekend, in lot S4. It was a pull-through site with a water view, with all hook ups easily accessible and individual to your lot, including sewer- right on the site. There is a fire ring and a sturdy picnic table on each site. The view was amazing and unimpeded until we had neighbors show up on our last night (still enough scenery left to be breathtaking). The camping area is completely covered with grass, which was a terrific experience and beats blacktop any time. There are showers in a bath house, which we did not go into, but the only public bathrooms we saw were outhouses put together. An important note: there really is no beach minus a tiny area by a boat launch. Everything as far as beach, in front of the actual campground for non-seasonal renters, is down a steep hill of thorn bushes and consists of a retaining wall with water right up to the edge. You are also not allowed, per state law, to bring your dogs onto this strip of pebbles so our dogs were out of luck until we took them to Presque Isle State Park. Since we had no desire to be on a beach, this wasn't any issue for us at all but it is worth noting for those who think they might be lying in the sand. I understand there is a place called Raccoon Beach a short distance up the coast from here, and they welcome your dogs- we did not, however, go there. I saw that multiple people had complained about the rules that are enforced but these rules are all rational and REALLY add to the enjoyment of a quiet area to camp and to being able to appreciate the experience- without children, dogs, and other misc. people crossing through your lot, screaming, drinking too much, etc. You can find a complete list of them on their website and I think most people could appreciate the benefits of following these. They keep a 5 mph speed limit on the property but you will spend few yards driving- the sites are almost immediately in front of you once you go past the office. I'm happy they protect the grass with low speed limits and also this does cut down on excess noise. There are rules about when you can check in (as in not in the middle of the night) and those are great too! You come through a gate and the office is directly in front of you, in a large older house (take a look at the porch facing the water- it is obvious someone lived here and enjoyed their fantastic view before the campground was built). The only issue I believe they could do a little better with is having the office open more often. Every time we went by, it was closed- minus the busiest check-in times. They do let you know how to reach them by a sign on the door. Be aware that you have little to no cell service there. It is easier to get a signal if you go up a hill or leave the campground, but they keep a pay phone (yes, they still exist here) by the office for free 9-1-1 calls. Internet service is reliable and free. Great place! The photos others have entered are exactly what it looks like- (This review is duplicated on other sites)
