This KOA has a great location for anyone visiting the Oregon Dunes. A majority of the people camping had all terrain 4-wheelers for spending time with in the dunes - so it could be a bit noisy. The park was pretty muddy during our stay due to significant March rain in the area. It was fine for an overnight stay but would not be a park I would stay in for longer than a night or two.

I would avoid this place if you’re planning an over nighter. The place was very busy from the time we arrived until about 2:00am with ATVs coming and going all day long. And it seemed almost every site had at multiple ATVs. No security and no one enforcing quiet hours.

Front desk was run by teenagers, which is t a bad thing, just reach them good customer service.

Store was small and stocked with necessities.

Pads are gravel and with all the atv activity, it kicked up a ton of dust because none of them observed the 5mph speed limits.

Our neighbors were super nice folks… just up all night long.

This looked like a wonderful campground for families with ATVs. Lots for kids to do and ATVs in nearly every site. Fairly noisy for us regular folk though.
Can’t say it was a bad campground. We didn’t read the description before booking. That’s on us.

So, although we enjoyed our son riding an ATV for the first time (great memory), I would NOT stay here unless you enjoy OHV and all their engine noise! Not our scene whatsoever! We should have researched more, too: this KOA has VERY LITTLE AMENITIES. It's ALLLL about riding your OWN ATV's or dune buggy's/side by side's. Most everyone who stayed here owned their own OHV and the crowd was fine but there's A LOT of smoking, vaping, and engines. The KOA website was also misleading: it made it seem like they now had a zip line available - but it is not available yet as of this writing (July 2022). So, that was a MAJOR bummer and our son was super upset. The jumping pad is not great, either. Playground REALLY small, and although our son enjoyed the games room with another couple of boys his age, it was a mess and all the equipment/games were REALLY dirty. Kinda gross. Felt the need to wash our hands immediately afterwards! There is a dog park. Gravel lot. Just NOT WORTH THE PRICE unless you are an avid OHV driver/rider and appreciate the easy access to the dunes. Our son rented an ATV from Steve's ATV Rentals just right next to the KOA, and they DO have a really lovely beginners track for kids who have never experienced ATV riding. Rental wasn't cheap, about $50/hour. But, we don't regret that since it is most likely a memory our son won't soon forget! Just know, if you aren't into riding the dunes - this KOA is NOT for you!

It’s totally a location that’s atv friendly with great access to the dunes and beach.

The staff were super friendly and the site was very easy to pull through and get set up.

They are very disciplined about atv usage so you won’t find people ripping through or running engines late into the night.

The only downside was the showers were pretty small and needed tokens to operate.
Oh and there is no privacy at all from each other on the site

Nice campground on the Oregon coast. Great access to the dunes and located right next to Steve’s ATV rentals. We got a discount at Steve’s because we were staying at the KOA. They also made it easy for us to park our RV then walk over and rent a side by side ATV. Getting into our spot was very challenging though. We were in a 26’ RV and with all the way roads we had to 5 point turn into our end pull through spot. When we went to leave we realized it was a tight enough turn that we couldn’t pull through and leave without scraping a tree across the entire rooftop and left side of our RV. We ended up backing out and doing another 5 point turn to exit the spot. We also didn’t realize that our spot was so close to the highway, but being tucked in the back corner away from the dunes produces a lot of highway noise. Overall though a nice place to stay if you are coming to ride the dunes as they do allow you to ride your ATVs, Quads etc up to your campsite.
