TLDR; I would recommend looking at Steves ATV and Torex ATV before considering Spinreel.

We arrived with a family of 4 hoping to rent a couple of dune vehicles on our road trip, but we quickly found out from the sales lady that our 7 year old was too small to ride in a two seater buggy and too young to ride on her own ATV. She said, “this is the worst part of the job”, when my 7 year old started crying because she was really looking forward to this part of the trip. I ended up just taking here to the park for two hours while my wife and older daughter rode ATVs together.

That night I looked at the Internet and was really annoyed when I saw that both Torex ATV and Steves ATV Rentals allow kids as young as 5-6 years old to rent ATVs. I don’t have an issue that Spinreel won’t rent to younger kids but it’s lame that they did not refer us to Steve’s ATV which is just 1 or 2 exits down 101.

I was also surprised when my wife showed me the videos of how slow her and my daughters ATVs were and that they were not allowed to get any air. My wife and older daughter still had fun but I suspect they had their throttles limited. They also mentioned the speed limits which makes me question why would you pay a premium for a 1000cc buggy or larger ATV from Spinreel if you can't use the HP?

My recommendation is to do some research before choosing Spinreel.
