This is not an RV Park. Backpackers only.
This is a must do stop. Plan on spending a little time, you will never be able to grasp how cool this place is in the pictures. Do not be in this part of the country and miss this stop. If you have kids, start at the gift shop and get the plastic sleds and the wax. You will leave having experienced something profound with exhausted kids. Bring the camera. Bring the dog on a leash. No camping in the park. Amazing sunsets. My 12 year old said it was his favorite stop.
Incroyable ! A couper le souffle ! La meilleure nuit de camping de toute ma vie ! Attention la température tombe très bas la nuit... (tente pleine de givre au petit matin).
Coucher et lever de soleil magique !
White Sands National Monument includes one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dunefield. White Sands National Monument preserves a major portion of this unique dunefield, along with the plants and animals that live here.
