“World's Most Famous Arena”
Madison Square Garden is a multi-purpose indoor arena in midtown Manhattan in New York City. Located between Seventh and Eighth Avenues from 31st to 33rd Streets, it is close to Pennsylvania Station. It is the fourth venue to bear the name, the first two of which were located on Madison Square, with the third Madison Square Garden further uptown at Eighth Avenue and 50th Street. The Garden is used for professional basketball and ice hockey, as well as boxing, concerts, ice shows, circuses, and other forms of sports and entertainment. It resides in close geographic proximity to other midtown Manhattan landmarks, including the Empire State Building, Koreatown, and Macy's at Herald Square. Drawing on its celebrated history, the company builds iconic brands that set the standard for excellence and innovation while forging deep connections with diverse and passionate audiences. With an unparalleled portfolio of strategically aligned venues, content and distribution channels, The Madison Square Garden Company's three business segments – Madison Square Garden Sports, Media and Entertainment – work together to deliver exceptional experiences that endure for generations. MSG is home to the New York Knicks, the St. John Red Storm, among many other sports teams.
Let's Go Rangers!
There's no parking provided here, so plan accordingly. The Garden is located right above Penn Station, so take the train or subway if you can. Doors open an hour before an event, and there's strict security. If you want a tour, they run every 1/2 hour from 11am to 3pm, daily. Check out the "Walk of Fame", and definitely grab some food at The Club Bar & Grill.
One of the most classic arenas still around! Whether you are watching a Knicks game in person, or a Rangers game on TV, there's nothing like Madison Square Garden. The unique and beautiful ceiling might distract you but the action on the court/ice/stage will always get it back.
Best arena I've ever been to. DEFINITELY see a Rangers game here.
