“Japanese comfort food”
Authentic Japanese Izakaya Restaurant in the heart of New York City. A great place to go before a night of drinking or afterwards once you've worked up a healthy appetite. Need help finding what to order at Village Yokocho? try the fried squid legs... they're awesome!
Village Yokocho is one of the best, authentic Japanese izakaya restaurants in NYC. Start with a variety of Skewers and the Takoyaki - but save room for the real star of the show - the Ramen. The meal was relatively inexpensive and though crowded the place had great atmosphere. We had friends save us seats, but it looked like you might be waiting a while to get a seat when its busy. The servers are great, and though it was insanely busy, the food came quickly. Well worth stopping in if you are close to St. Marks.
