David Yankovichpurchased La Brioche Bakery from a Madison Swiss pediatrician way back in 1988. Located amidst the hustle-bustle of State Street, it was then a tiny 900 square foot bakery overflowing with irresistible pastries, loaded with chocolate. David moved La Brioche Bakery to Midvale Boulevard where he and his loyal bakers enjoyed serving Madison's West Side for many years. In 2008, David and Jackie Patricia moved La Brioche Bakery to University Avenue and opened La Brioche True Food, bakery and restaurant, serving all of the original bakery pastries as well as delicious local and organic foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We still make our pastries from scratch ~ the old way ~ using real butter and cream, fresh eggs, unbleached flours, and the best ingredients we can find. Stop in and taste our morning buns, bear claws, croissants, chocolate chip cookies, maple-nut scones, dark chocolate bread, chocolate intensity cake, tres leches cake and carrot cake ~~ and much more.
