On paper, a Friday night at Han Dynasty sounds like a typical East Village scene: tiny restaurant, packed to the gills, with a line of determined diners jostling for elbow room at the entrance. The difference is, this isn't the newest small plates, chef-driven restaurant—it's a no-nonsense Szechuan spot and the first New York outpost of Han Chiang's mini Philly empire.
