New York Public Library

Even if you’re not a book nut, the library is worth a visit for its impressive Beaux Arts architecture and free exhibits. We prefer to wander on our own, but there are free guided tours of the library as well. Fellow travel lovers shouldn’t miss the Map Room.

One of the best places to visit in NYC. I'm going to be going here in a couple weeks with my little boy and spend an afternoon exploring with him. It's free and open to the public. The building is beautiful and oozes historic charm. It's very quiet (my kid's quiet too), and has free WIFI. Within walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. You may remember this library from the movie Ghostbusters! Also, there's a great bookstore onsite.

This is a wonderful place to get away from the bustle and noise for a while. Beautiful architecture, great exhibits, and of course, all the books you could ask for. If you're into chill spots, go here.
