Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 12, 2021The Allentown KOA is tucked back into the forest with a creek running right through the park. To get to our site we had to cross a small bridge in the campground, the angle of departure was pretty sharp so I'd recommend unhooking the toad at the office before proceeding to your site just in case. There are lots of mature trees, but no privacy between sites. Separation is adequate but not exceptional. We did like space #30 where it’s designed to pull in (rather than back in) giving us a great view of the creek out our front window. That also meant our patio area was adjacent to the neighbors, so be prepared to be friendly.
Some sites have full hook-ups, others are water and electric (30amp) only. All sites have cable TV. If you need to dump during your stay there is a portable dump service for $8 so you don’t have to move your rig.
There is a camp store/office, bathroom, showers, game room, playground, sports courts, and laundry facility. Dump station and water are also available. There is a hiking trail through the woods that you can access from the campground, but the map warns “steep hill” and it really is! You aren’t too far from SR 100, but no noticeable traffic noise. Posted rate is $47/night, with the KOA discount we paid $42.30.
We had 1 bar of Verizon 3G unboosted; we managed 3 bars of 4G boosted. There is free WiFi which worked fairly well.

We are in a class B and really like the very level site. The showers and bathrooms are very clean. Lilacs were in full bloom and we liked the forest location

This KOA is awesome for families. There are two playgrounds, arcade, mini golf, nice pool, hay rides, and planned activities. The campground is nestled along a stream, and sites 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, and 27 are particularly level and spacious. Groceries and supplies are 15 minutes away. There were revelers on a holiday weekend, which were a bit loud after hours. The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner and updated.

We stayed here while we moved out of our hose and into the MH. It was a little further from home than I would have preferred but the drive was worth it. Check in was quick and easy, we were led to our site and parked perfectly for hooking up the water, electric and cable TV.
Our site was in a glen along a little stream, very scenic. It was a very nice setting but I was working most of the time, still it was nice to look out and see such a nice view. We did not have sewer at this site, we made it from Sunday to Thursday before I had to drive up to the dump station.
The pool, playgrounds and other facilities were well maintained, the staff was friendly and the bath house was better than most I've seen. It was a quiet spot and there was no cell service to speak of, until we hooked up the weBoost we couldn't make a call unless we walked up to the office. The free park wifi exists only as an inducement to buy the premium wifi. My speed test on the free wifi came back with nothing. Zip. But the premium was cheap, $2.99 for two days, and was 30mbps down and 1 up .Which was all I needed to work. Cable was good but the channel selection was limited and it was DISH so when it rained we lost the picture a bit. But we had no DISH signal on our antenna at all at our site so we were happy to have it.
Located 7 miles from I-78 it's great for visiting Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, a bit far for Philadelphia but not completely out of the question.

It’s not really fair for me to write a review of this campground as many amenities were off-line due to the health crisis. It’s a KOA, so the sites tend to be a bit tight but you don’t come here for large sites with lots of privacy. You come here for the activities and being close to points of interest.
We discovered a nearby park called Trexler Preserve. We loved it so much we went back twice and can't wait to go again. It's also home to a zoo that kids really love.
Our kids loved the playground and riding their bikes all around the paths around the campground. There were lots of kids to play with.
The stream is the main feature here. Watching the sunrise hit the water is really a pleasant sight in the morning.
Cell signal here is nonexistent as we are located in the valley of a hilly section on the outskirts of Allentown Pennsylvania. It’s quite rural out here but despite there being four bars in the hills, there is only one bar at the campground as it is in the base of the valley at the stream.
The campground free Wi-Fi was above average in speed so we were able to get online without our trusty hotspot.
I like seeing a number of tent campers among the RV years here, it was a nice mix of campers at the campground.
We’d come back for sure.

Overnight stay. Small KOA with all the amenities and with sites by a creek. Friendly staff, nice store and everything you expect from a Holiday KOA. We reserved last minute during Labor Day weekend, but they were very accommodating and assigned us the very last spot with electric and water, but no sewage. No issue as they have a dump station. Overall very satisfied. They had spots for tents, cabins and RV sites. Will be great for a weekend gateway.

Not a bad place to stay. Did have a tough time leveling, but wasn’t too hard to get set up. They no longer sell propane despite their amenities listing.
