This self-named "Baby Boomer's Gumbo" carries all the stuff that's too good, quirky, or collectible to let go at a yard sale. Prices are already reasonable but they will bargain if you buy enough. Last visit, we bought old sheet music, a piece of Sputnik encased in Lucite, and a 1940s collie figurine, while passing up a menu from Antoine's 75th anniversary and a decanter shaped like the pope. Throw in some china, vintage postcards, local antique doorknobs, jewelry, and you get the idea. Tellingly, it's a haven for set decorators shooting locally.
