“a New Orleans Tradition”
Opened in 1952 in the Irish Channel neighborhood, Parasol's Bar & Restaurant is a New Orleans tradition. The name comes from the founder, Louis Passauer. He was concerned that people will not be able to pronounce his name so he chose Parasol's instead. Ove the years the bar & restaurant thrived and became a hub for political and social activity. The specialty of the house was and is the roast beef po boy, a New Orleans staple featuring roast beef in brown gravy served with lettuce, tomato, pickle and mayonnaise on fresh made french bread.
This is where the locals go to get po' boys! They allow smoking at the bar (not the back room though!) so if you're sensitive to that, maybe get your sammies to go. Get the firecracker sauce if you like heat, and ask for everything sloppy!
BEST PO'BOY EVER !
