“a beautiful charming old lady”
“Strolling along Main Street in historic New Iberia, I stumbled upon a beautiful, charming, old lady, her name was Le Rosier.”-L.M. Sterling Beauty and charm definitely describe Le Rosier. Built in 1870 and listed on the National Registry of Historic Places by the United States Department of Interior, Le Rosier is located in historic downtown New Iberia. One of New Iberia's main attractions, The Shadows on the Teche, an antebellum home built in 1834, is located directly across the street from Le Rosier. The main house is now the private residence of current Owners/Innkeepers, David and Carolyn Groner. Behind the main house lies a lush courtyard filled with beautiful greenery and colorful flowers. Just beyond the courtyard is a guest cottage, which plays host to six beautifully decorated guest rooms. Up for a stroll, enjoy beautiful historic Main Street. Just blocks away from Le Rosier you’ll enjoy delicious local restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From steak to sushi, it’s all located blocks away. Go to the bookstore and grab the newest book by famed New Iberia award winning author James Lee Burke. Window-shop the clothing and gift stores. And on the weekends, sip on a cocktail while enjoying the sounds of local Blues and Cajun musicians. While visiting in New Iberia and the surrounding area, we want you to have a meaningful cozy stay here with us at Le Rosier Country Inn, and we offer you just that without all the hustle and bustle of a chain hotel.
