World's Largest Tiger Muskie

The Nevis Tiger Muskie is a sculpture located at 114-122 Bunyan Trails Rd, Nevis, Minnesota. located at a point along the Paul Bunyan State Trail. The sculpture is included in the List of world's largest roadside attractions. It resembles the Tiger muskellunge, a carnivorous fish found in local waters. The sculpture is 30 feet and 6 inches long, and made of cedar, redwood, and cement. This piece is described as art in the form of a sculpture garden. This fish joins the ranks of several other large fish statues sprinkled across the state of Minnesota. The fish was built in 1950 and dedicated to all tourists visiting Minnesota and has been gracing countless pictures and Christmas cards for almost 62 years. It is covered by an awning to keep the elements at bay and is stationed in front of a pavilion with picnic tables and a small playground. The awning was placed over the fish in 1991. The area is a noted tourist attraction and provides a station for numerous photo opportunities and an easily identifiable landmark in the small town of Nevis.
