“perfect destination for anyone wishing to spend time in nature”
Arrowhead Park is the perfect destination for anyone wishing to spend time in nature. This 147 acre family-friendly park is located in Neola, IA and has a wealth of fishing, camping and outdoor recreation opportunities, including a playground, basketball and volleyball courts, woodland hiking trails and wildlife viewing.
$10 per tent
Tent camping: Primitive (clean) bathrooms (no running water for showers, washing hands, or brushing teeth) stocked with hand sanitizer.
Very pretty grounds, lots of geese (and geese poop), and accommodating staff.
For the price point $10, if you have young kids and like to kick back a few brews while the kids run ragged this is your place. If you like a quieter (alcohol free) place you may want to pay a little more and try another campground.
I would give 3.5 if I could. Basic portapotty at each campground (there are 4) campground 3 has modern bathroom with two shower stalls for each gender. We crashed in our pop up for just one night. We were there less than 12 hours and it was exactly what we thought and all we needed for just $15. Kinda crowded though. We camped in the last site on campground 4 and just drove to the showers in the morning. Easy in and out off the highway. Nothing fancy and I wouldn't camp for long there. Pond seemed man made and just to serve the purpose of park.
Pros- Beautiful nature setting, boat rentals, fishing, hiking, bird and butterfly watching. 30 amp connections at each RV site. Cons- No water or sewer connections at each RV campsite. You can fill your tanks with water at several locations in the park before camping, and use the dump station on your way out. Would recommend to others.
