Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on June 22, 2023We love it here!. tons to do and see. Late fall weather is great with major crowds gone for the season.
My fiancé and I enjoyed this place in our 5th wheel out on the Peninsula. Definitely pricey ($63 for one night with full hook ups) but I will admit it is very beautiful out here and it's a nice park! I would recommend staying here. Only downfall is the restaurant served us disgusting fries that were obviously old. Other than that, it looks like a fun place.
My wife and I have enjoyed this place on numerous trips. It's a great respite from the long desert drives. We really enjoyed setup the RV on the river and wiggly our toes in the river. So, we were planning on staying there this evening. I called to make a reservation this morning and was told that they would not take reservations for an overnight stay but that they had two sites open on the river. Further, that overnight stays are handled on a first come, first served bases. So, we left a bit early and got to the resort at 1:30 pm, When I went to check in, the rather rude blonde girl informed me that they DON'T ALLOW OVERNIGHT STAYS!!! When I pointed out that we had done it before and that this morning they indicated that they would, her comment was "so what". So, if your traveling, skip this place.
This was a rather unique place to camp... full hookups just a few feet from the Colorado River on semi-private "peninsulas" that each hold four RVs (a couple peninsulas hold a dozen or so RVs, good for large groups). Pros: camp right along the river with dog-friendly semi-private beach access (each peninsula of four RVs shares a section of beach); full hookups; camp fires allowed on the beach (but not in the camping area); good cell signal. Cons: some of the sites can be cramped if all four sites on a peninsula are occupied; some noise from boats going up and down the river; kind of a long drive to any amenities/shopping; roads in poor condition; watch for extra fees. We did the three-night special for $117, but then had to add a $10 reservation charge (you have to pay it whether you call or do online reservations) and $2 per day for our dog. They charge $25 if you arrive early, and $50 per hour if you depart late. They charge $10 per day if you bring an extra vehicle (no fee for RV towed vehicle), and there was a whole list of other potential charges. Sites are sand, which can be a little deep in areas. We'd consider staying here again.

.....whenever It's Finished! This park is located Behind Pirate Cove with full hookup sites RIGHT on the Colorado River. Although they are currently on gravel/ sand & rather close together with little privacy, it appears that the Configuration will change for the better once Construction is completed. Right now, new roads are being installed as well as a landlocked pond for canoes, etc. In between each Section of the campsites there is a small beach/ boat pull- up spot- this might change as well. All in all a great place to camp & watch all the boating activity & fishing on the River.

the rv spots are at the land site of a huge concrete parking lot for boat trailers, restrooms looked dilapidated, could not find laundry, shop sold mostly merchandise of the resort could not even find cornflakes there but lots of alcohol, playground next to street for cars with boat trailers, every single bit costs extra
wifi was sometimes working, sometimes no internet access
only good thing is the location at the river and easy access from highway

We stayed on peninsula 16. Luckily half the spots were our own group and the others who came were good neighbors because the sites were very close. It is expensive. The rates may say $85/night but then they add on extra fees: electricity, resort, toy RZR, boats etc, by the time we were done we were up to $125/night. It’s nice to be next to the river with these little beaches where you can enjoy the water. The off road riding was nothing great, at least not within 20 miles of camp. I noticed the off river camping was just a parking lot at the marina although there was a playground and grass nearby. The restaurant was cute, sort of on the expensive side. Be sure to bring all your registrations, insurance, ID as they request it for all vehicles, watercraft, UTV s etc and we didn’t see that in anything we researched, river is swift so have to stay next to the beach. No internet at sites. Good OTA. Good cell. Overall if we wanted to go to the river we might stay here again. Just bite the bullet on the price and add ones. If your group has a peninsula to yourself, that would be cool. Btw at time we were there, price for gas was $7.69 / gal and more where if you went over Topoc bridge out the 40 about 5 miles it was $3,69
