“sleep under the stars”
See that lush oasis in the desert? It's no mirage, it's the Needles KOA. At the edge of the Mojave Desert, hand-laid rock walls grace this surprising spot bursting with vibrant bougainvillea, eucalyptus, mesquite and palm trees. Historic Needles is close to the casinos of Laughlin, Nevada, and the scenic ghost town of Oatman, Arizona. There's plenty of life at this KOA, where the clubhouse (with a stone fireplace) is a popular gathering spot for potlucks, bingo, card games and holiday parties. The campground store offers a variety of salsas and marmalades. Stop by the gift shop for Route 66 items. Pool: Open all year. Max pull thru: 80 feet. This is a family campground to spend a great weekend without missing anything.
You and your friends or children will really enjoy spending your time at Needles KOA due to the fact there is a swimming pool next to the cabins.
It contains everything, food shops, playgrounds and great views. I strongly recommend it!
First, you can tell the owners take great pride in their park's appearance. The sites are set up to create a sense of privacy, this was done by the landscaping between sites.
Second, clean; laundry room, restrooms, pool area, club house, sites; all clean!
Third, internet worked with no restrictions!
Fourth, pet friendly. Our dogs (two big labs, one "big boned" mutt) were welcomed and the area for walking them was convenient!
Finally, activities; we wanted to stay for the Super Bowl party but it didn't fit into our time table!

Friendly staff, well monitored by the staff golf cart. Large level spaces, desert conditions so it’s very dusty. WiFi was just ok. Lots of noise from ATVs at night playing around in the desert, which isn’t the fault of the KOA. The amenities were fine. Road in was rough. Good cell service. The KOA itself was fine.

Nice KOA,gravel sites, need one block to level. 4 bars for AT&T, strong wifi, friendly front office staff. Campground is 1/3 rd full, here before the crowds and here for the 106 temps during the day. TRUE desert, has lots of ice and ice cream in store, we are good. Full hook ups so full air conditioner! Nice pool and amenities. Great selection of postcards to send the grandkids!

We pulled in late at night and set up quickly without really eyeballing the site...probably could have leveled up a little better. But the sites will need to surveying before setting up.
It is Needles and there isn’t much in the area. We used it as an overnight on our way east. There are train tracks nearby and we did hear the train whistle at least twice between 11:00pm and 7am. Didn’t bother us one bit.
They do sell propane on site which was a blessing for the next few nights of dry camping we had planned.
Grab a Route 66 magnet from the gift store while you’re there.

We only stayed overnight and found this to be a "perfectly adequate" RV park... in other words, nothing at all to complain about, but also not much to make it stand out (other than the price which we found better than usual for a KOA). Sites are the typical desert gravel with a few trees/shrubs between some of the sites. Verizon worked great (5 bars), AT&T only had 2 bars but was usable as well. It was very windy and hot during our stay in late April. Most sites are 30-amp only, we got one of the few 50-amps sites. All are pull-through. We'd happily stay here again.

We stayed one night in October. The bathhouse is clean though somewhat old. Good cell reception, though the campground charges extra for streaming wifi.

$70 for two nights. Okay RV park. Sites have some space between with picnic table. Most of park has 30 amp with only a couple 50 amp. There are some electric and water only sites. The park isn’t level. Lots of sand and gravel, which was fine for us. Office staff friendly and helpful. Okay for a stop along I-40. Wi-fi signal moderate strength. A number of TV stations available over the air. Cell signal strong.
