“famous southern fried chicken”
Prince's Hot Chicken is the pioneer of Hot Chicken started by Thornton J. Prince, III. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, our chicken is some of the tastiest around. Featured on season 4 of Man vs. Food!
The originator of Nashville hot chicken, Prince's stands as the benchmark against which all other fiery fowl is measured. A version of fried chicken that's been dredged in a top-secret mixture of sweat-inducing spices, it's served atop a slice of white bread with dill pickle chips on the side, and not nearly enough napkins (order the crinkle fries to help temper the heat). Set in a divey strip mall north of Downtown, the storefront space is usually packed with characters from every corner of the city who all suffer the notoriously long wait for a bite of this addictive city staple.
The chicken was really good and more than enough! The fires were also delicious! It definitely was worth the stop however it looks ruin down and the locations looks sketchy.
Oh my God my mouth is watering just thinking about Prince's. They offer spice levels ranging from mild to XXHOT. Err on the side of caution when ordering and definitely get a drink. Go early to avoid lines and to make sure they don't run out of what you want-- they pretty much fry food to order.
