“Places in Naples, FL”
Kowiachobee Animal Preserve was established and incorporated in May 2001. We received our Non-Profit 501 (C)(3) status on January 18, 2002. Since then we have been working constantly on increasing public awareness and educating people from all walks of life as to the steady decline of certain species of exotic and endangered animals. We not only house and care for exotic animals, but also many small, domestic and farm animals as well. "Respecting All Animals" is the key to their survival. The time is now to open ourselves to this awareness. If we do not do this now, our grandchildren may never have the opportunity to see these animals other than in a text book. At KAP we are all volunteers. We have been working with exotic animals for many years. Our board consists of four directors who are highly motivated and dedicated to our cause. We have a variety of volunteers who help us on a daily basis to make everything happen for Kowiachobee and YOU! KAP is available for all types of educational endeavors, and it is always of fun to have a hands-on experience with the animals. Kowiachobee Animal Preserve is home to over 130 animals, and it is also feels like a home away from home to many of our volunteers. We are an educational and learning facility, as well as an Animal Preserve. We feel that education of animals is very important to pass on to everyone around us so that people will have a better understanding and respect for the animals that live at their homes, and as well as the animals that live in the wild around them. We are available for lectures and presentations.
