“A Myrtle Beach Tradition Since 1944”
The 8th Wonder of the World®… THE BOWERY- a landmark located 50 yards from the Atlantic Ocean in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, U.S.A., has been entertaining millions from all over the globe since 1944, with its genuine southern hospitality. In season (Mar. – Oct.), The “World Famous” Bowery is open 7 days a week from 11AM – 4 AM and features cold drinks and live entertainment every night starting at 8:30 featuring The Bounty Hunters and special guest bands on Sunday nights, with a friendly relaxed atmosphere and a “Ya’ Can’t Beat Fun®” attitude. The Bowery’s house band from 1973 -1980 was country super group “ALABAMA”, who still consider it their home, and make numerous appearances throughout the year. The Bowery’s place in music history was secured after Alabama was inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame in 2005. The waiters also entertain the crowds by carrying many mugs of beer at one time to their customers. Scuba Osborne – a waiter at The Bowery – has the record according to the Guinness Book for carrying 34 mugs of beer (without a tray). Another former waiter at The Bowery, Don’t Cry Joe, has a record set back in the 1930’s for dancing 5,295 consecutive hours. The Bowery has an extensive souvenir list with many unique items featuring The Bowery logo from T-shirts and hats to hot sauces and cigarettes. We even have our own “Bowery Iced Beer”! These items are available at the club, by phone / mail order, and over The Bowery’s website. Because of The Bowery’s long and unique history, many tourists to the Myrtle Beach area stop by just to get a glimpse of The Bowery. Regulars and people who have visited The Bowery on vacation have encouraged others to visit through word of mouth. The Bowery’s expertise is providing live entertainment to create an atmosphere of fun. This is where The Bowery obtained one of their slogans, which is trademarked – Ya’ Can’t Beat Fun! There’s Never A Dull Moment at THE BOWERY!

The service is slow, but very attentive. So is everything on the boardwalk at Myrtle Beach. The pineapple upside down cake drink with mostly juice. The onion rings and jalapeño poppers was just... Read more
Sat outside here and had some lunch from Duffy's. Have to say the food was really good. It is kind of an iconic place here on the boardwalk given it was where Alabama played. We have also been... Read more
