So it costed us $44.00 to go as a family of 4. It was worth it! From the fish that ate the dead skin off of our hands to the sharks swimming over our heads to the mermaid show...oops, my family told me the mermaid show sucked! Just horrible! Otherwise, you get to pet a shark, see an alligator and did I mention all the picture opportunities! It was worth the money, go!
I am disappointed with the very commercial aspects of this aquarium. Gaudy in it's layout. For example, to exit the facility, one has to weave their way through a long gift shop. I don't mind the gift shop as much as being forced to enter it. I feel bad for the parents trying to get their kids through it. Having said that, the fish looked well cared for and the exhibits were terrific. Only a couple of tanks seemed too small for the fish. Lots of interactive things for the kids attending and there were a LOT of kids. Maybe it was because we went on a Saturday. Compared to the Baltimore Aquarium at Camden Yards, this was glitz +.
Great aquarium for the price. I was pleasantly surprised at the diversity in marine animals on display at this location.
We loved it! The Mermaid show is great for little kids and us big kids who just get a kick out of things like that. The sharks swimming overhead was awesome. We had the whole family including the grandparents and there was something for all of us.
Our family loved the Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach. Visitor can walk through a tunnel as fish, sharks, turtles and more swim above, get hands on with stingrays (who knew you could touch stingrays without being stung?!) and even ride a glass bottom boat in the shark tank.
The aquarium was the Kid’s highlight of our time in Springfield. There is a wide array of things to do and see so even with tons of people there was something to see with out being crammed into a crowd.
Awesome exhibits.
It was kinda pricey but I thought well worth it because my kids had fun and learned about the ocean. Buy online in a bundle and save some money. We did the glass bottom boat tour too & the guys giving the tour were hilarious. I totally recommend a stop here!
