“only a mile from glacier!”
Stay here, and you're just a mile from Glacier Park and the entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road, the 52-mile highway that climbs across Glacier National Park's spectacular alpine spine. The view is almost as good from your campsite here at Glacier's eastern edge, where towering peaks frame the St. Mary River and Lake. Pick up lunch fixings at the KOA grocery store and gift shop, then board a Glacier tour bus at the campground entrance. If you want to give your dog a day off while you explore, your hosts offer pet sitting and kennel boarding. Or relax at the KOA with full espresso bar while you hone your putting skills, play bocce or enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub complex. Rent a kayak and explore the wilds of Lower St. Mary Lake and River. Pizza and food service items available daily from mid-June to September. Pool/Hot tub: June 15 - September 10. Max pull thru: 75 feet. Your hosts: Will & Susan Brooke.

Very nice KOA. Convenient pick-up spot for the National Park Tours, great hot tub and pool. And excellent food at the pavillion.
t's been awhile since I've been camping and it has changed. This place has Wifi (though not everywhere in the campground, but better than nothing), swimming pool and a hot tub. Omg. The hot tub is amazing after a ten mile hike. I don't mind the pricing because of water and electric at my campsite. Paid about $50/night for three people.
I'm now thinking about other KOA and how they have the sane amenities.
Oh yeah, did I mention the hot tub? :)
This was a pretty nice KOA with plenty of amenities for all kinds of campers (pool, hot tub, games, BBQ, pancake breakfasts, etc.). The sites are all big enough that you don't need to worry about being able to open slide-outs or awnings, but you're still quite close to your neighbor. It's a very large campground and they do use all the space available so it feels pretty crowded when full. The campground is on a hill so even though our RV pad was level, our camping site sloped steeply down as soon as we stepped out of the motorhome (making for a very high "last step" when getting out). We had one of the premium back-in sites with extra room for a tent (which we didn't use). This site was nice because it backed up to a large green field making short dog walks very convenient, BUT it was right across from the campground entrance and office. This is a LARGE campground where people stay for only a few days at a time, so each morning we witnessed dozens of RVs leaving and each evening we witnessed dozens checking in, which can get noisy. Being a large campground, there are plenty of places to walk dogs, including a trail down to the lake where they can go for a swim. The WiFi worked reasonably well most of the time, and Verizon worked fine, but there's no AT&T service at all.

Expensive spot, but it worked fine for us for a few nights. The sites were gravel and small, with no trees or any covering. But it was perfect for our kids, who loved the playground and pool.

The other reviewers pretty much said it but clean and comfortable, nice playground and pool for the kids and a nice view back towards Glacier.
No ATT but good Verizon. One afternoon we went across the highway to Johnson's Cafe which has been there for 65 years for a simple, comfort food lunch in a fun, quirky spot.

We stayed here for 2 nights so we could visit the Many Glacier area. This park is a typical KOA with sites close together and no privacy between neighbors. The pool and hot tub were very nice and we really appreciated that after a long hike at Glacier. Verizon coverage was good there, and they also have Wifi but we didn't use it. I appreciated that they don't charge extra for kids like so many KOA parks do. We usually avoid KOAs because of the "kid tax", but thankfully this one does not charge extra for kids. They are expensive enough even without the kid tax.

Proximity to East Glacier entrance(s) is great and views are outstanding. Campground is fairly basic, but overall, it's well maintained. Sites are fairly close together like many KOAs of this type. Decent playground for kids and store with ice cream was nice to stop in after a long day of hiking.
No cell service on AT&T at all hardly anywhere near this location. No real working wifi either. Two Sisters Cafe near Babb was a nice stop with good food and a nice relaxing atmosphere.
In general, this is quite a remote area with closest (below average) medical facilities in Browning or much further away. A couple restaurants and stores in the area for provisioning or dining out.

Great views and in a perfect location. However, it’s not especially clean and well cared for.

We recently stay at the East Glacier KOA. The location is great and the view from our site was amazingly.
I realize it was early in the season but our premium premium site was disappointing ... weedy and overgrown. The chairs for dining table were too low and not designed for a setting comfortably at the table.
We travel with a dog and love them but many people at this park were allowed to let their dogs run loose so we were unable to have our dog outside on his tether with us because of this. There was a stray? dog that frequently all of the sites near us every day as well.
We paid for the proximity to the park and understand that but the condition of the facility and the pool/hot tub being closed should be disclosed to potential clients.
This KOA has so much potential but based on previous reviews it seems the owners don’t put much effort into it.

We have a KOA membership, so the price shown reflects a 10% discount. The staff at this park was very nice, sadly... the property is not well maintained. We stayed here the first week in June, with the season just starting, so maybe it will get better. For our visit, the sites we not well maintained (at all) and the small playground needed repairs. No At&t coverage, but Verizon was strong. Diesel was .80 cents more here, than in West Glacier. We tried the local pizza place which had very thin pizza and was pretty decent. Location of this park is great for both the St. Mary entrance and Many Glaciers. The views from the park are AMAZING. Personally, we felt it should have been priced closer to $45 for the condition of the property.
