“one of the oldest remaining convenience stores in Texas”

For those of you who haven't heard about Garven Store, there are a few things you ought to know. First off, Garven Store is one of the oldest remaining convenience stores in Texas. This family business has been here since 1932—it’s over 70 years old! Secondly, our Bar-B-Que brisket and sausage have locally become known as the “Best BBQ in Texas”. Not only is our BBQ out of this world, but our jerky, dried sausage, and cheddar cheese is just as popular. Finally, thanks to the trusted business from our valued customers, Garven Store has prepared a NEW RESTROOM for extra convenience needed by our customers. We appreciate all our customers and their opinions to make their Garven Store experience even more convenient. If you ’re in need of meat, a treat, or a place to rest your feet, everyone’s welcome at Garven Store!

If you've just passed a bunch of signs for "exotics" and are nearing a blinking intersection, you're about to come up on a little yellow painted gas station called Garven Store. Go in. Take a break. Try some delicious beef jerky (they'll give you a taste if you aren't sure, and it is really good), take a bathroom break (they just built new bathrooms and are proud of it), visit the peacocks (they aren't hard to find, they're all over the place), sit at the picnic tables, fill up your car, buy some biker gear, and/or hitch up your horse (they actually do have a hitching post).

For the next hour in any direction you'll only see ranches anyway. This is the only gas station for miles, and the last place you might get service (with At&t at least).

Garven Store has been planted for 80 years at the intersection of a couple ranch roads and the "three sisters," a popular triangular riding route for bikers. You can get a skull and cross-bones t-shirt that says, "Ride the Three Sisters, if You Dare." You can also get some really great candied jalepeños.
