“Tastiest chips on the East Coast”
From the moment we dropped our first batch of chips back in the early days of 1992, we understood our destiny as a high quality producer. Instead of succumbing to the frenzy of mass production, we took advantage of our small size and made chipping our personal art form. The payoff was immediate: an incredible potato chip! Early Days photo: The original Route 11 chipping crew in front of the old feedstore in Middletown, VA , 1992. If you’re already a Route 11 fan, thank you for keeping us so busy here in chip land. And, if you’ve never had a Route 11 potato chip, it’s about time!! Here you can order online, find a store near you that carries Route 11, get directions to our factory, learn about our goal of becoming a waste free facility, or just read about how we got started in this unusual business. With a secret recipe and superior ingredients, our mission is to make an outstanding product in a safe and clean environment. In this world of uncertainty that we live in, we believe comfort food should be just that. Know where your food comes from!
They weren't cooking the chips when we went but they have a table with samples on it. DISCLAIMER: When they say VERY HOT they mean VERY HOT. Sample at your own risk. The chips were pretty good and it wasn't too far out of the way for a quick pitstop.
Thanks for a great time at your factory and all the terrific chips. Worth the stop!
What a fun stop!!! Interesting to see the chips being made and the samples were fabulous!!
it was so cool to see the chips being made and they tasted awesome.
Was a nice little stop. We got the mini tour and they had some samples for us to try. We had a big Tavel trailer and was able to park where the delivery trucks go. Nice stop and only a few minutes off the route.
The gift shop is closed due to COVID, but our experience was still great! The tasting area was moved outside. The owner was very friendly and answered all of our questions. The chips were delicious! We are from the Baltimore area and the crab chips are better than any we can get in our area! Would definitely recommend a stop!
Great stop to stretch your legs, use a restroom (on your right as you walk in) and refill your snack stash with something local. There are plenty of free chip samples and bags start at 75 cents. Wish you could have taken more pictures but I understand the restriction.
This was a great stop! They were cooking chips and gave a great talk about how they make chips.
Super friendly! Great stop to see how yummy chips are made.
Great pit stop to check out how they make these awesome chips! Samples galore!
