Bayside Cafe was established in 1986 by Cal Poly graduate Dawn Borst who originally opened the Cale as a "waIk-up" creating the menu from her own personal recipes. The spot quickly became so popular among locals and visitors alike that it was necessary to expand to include the casual indoor dining area facing the bay. Diners can also enjoy a leashed-dog-friendly outdoor patio dining area with umbrellas and heaters.
