“Nestled along the banks of the Lamoille River”
Nestled along the banks of the Lamoille River, Mountain View is a haven for fishermen, couples and families alike. Only a few minutes from Stowe, Burlington and Montpelier, campers can experience the variety of activities which Vermont offers up in each season of the year. Early Spring in Vermont means swollen rivers, running sap, birds calling, and beautiful lush fields of wildflowers. Take a trip to one of the many maple sugar houses in Vermont to see how sap is collected and boiled down into maple syrup. Cast your line into the Lamoille River, considered one of the best fishing rivers in Northern Vermont. We will even tell you where the secret fishing holes are located! Summer in the mountains means warm, sunny days and cool nights. Relax by the campfire, go for a hike or a bike ride, splash in the pool, or canoe down the Lamoille River with the whole family. If you want more to do, visit one of the quaint, nearby towns to play some golf, eat at a fine restaurant, go shopping, or take in a country fair or craft show. Burnt oranges, radiant reds and dazzling yellows typify the fall foliage in Vermont. Head to the mountains for a hike or into one of the nearby towns to search for the perfect pumpkin or a drink of fresh apple cider. There are many things to do in nearby Stowe, considered to be the recreational heart of Vermont. This quintessential Vermont town boasts some of Vermont’s best restaurants and has enough shops to keep a “professional shopper” busy for days.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on July 10, 2022We were hurting after a long drive in from Canada. It poured rain most of the way and I had just racked up my knee and was pretty immobile. Late afternoon we found this C/G on our way to Maine and slid in and they accommodated us. The owner helped us into the site and we decided to spend another night for R&R .The C/G is under relatively new and young ownership and the place sparkles from their efforts improving up and maintaining it. Other campers here comment about all the work the new owners have accomplished.
The office has a campstore, game room and laundry, 2 pools and indoor/outdoor lounge facilities. They have kayak rentals and tubing, shuffleboard court and advise on other things to do in the area. Checkout their website for photos.
There is some road noise, but not a deal killer. Very quiet at night. The town of Morrisville is only 5 minted way and can supply most of your needs. It is less than a half-hour from historic Stowe, VT.
It's nice to see young "can-do" ownership committing themselves to a career like this.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here very much. It is a short drive into town where there are great bike trails and some good restaurants. The river running through the campground is great for quick dips and float trips. Saw some successful fishermen as well. The campground has some nice family friendly amenities with 2 pools, hot tub, mini golf, and shuffleboard with all the needed equipment available to check out at the front desk.
They do have some decent WIFI and almost a usable cell signal. Just enough to tease you into thinking it will be stable and sometimes it is! The WIFI works decent considering in some good spots but wasn’t very reliable at our campsite. I ended up having to drive into town for more critical work calls and internet needs. Overall I would stay here again but not if I had critical ness for reliable cell or internet.
Covid review - staff doing a great job with masks and limiting interactions. Most of the store was moved to the covered porch, hot tub was closed, bathrooms are closed, pool was limited to 1 hr per family and laundry was 1 family at a time. Greatly appreciate that about 90% of people wore masks when walking around between sites. Doing a great job!

This place was the most immaculate campground that we have stayed in - on the road 7 months. The sites were large - no glamping on top of people here. The bathrooms were better than any hotel we've stayed in - very large and oh, so clean. There is tubing right from the campground- 2 pools (1quiet pool !), hot tub, playground--- very close to stowe, smuggler's notch and other small towns. Great tenting area- alongside the river. The staff were so kind and helpful. Surprised the road was so loud (very busy road) (we were not near the road), but I am a light sleeper. No cable, but did get a lot of channels - great picture with our antenna.

I can't understand the 5 star reviews on this campground. We've been on the road over two years now and this was one of the worst campgrounds that we've ever stayed at.
Site 210 is in a "dead end" area of the campground 100ft from the road. We are surrounded by rv's that have clearly been here for a very long time, with grass and weeds growing up from underneath the rigs. The rigs are in terrible shape, with nobody actually occupying them. The campground says they don't store rigs here, but it's clear that's what's happening. Some of the rigs even had windows opened and it rained the whole week.
On top of that, there was perpetual road construction all day, every day. The road out front is an absolute mess and full of pot holes.
1 star for access due to the perpetual road construction.
The campground does have WIFI but it continually dropped off and was never reliable. Thankfully I was able to actually stay connected to work by getting on the WIFI from the Snackbar across the street (if that gives you any indication as to how close to the road we were).
Verizon and AT&T were not existant.

Stay anywhere else but there (try Gold Brook Campground).

Prior to our trip, I read the previous campers review that was less than flattering and this worried me as we were driving quite a distance to stay for a long weekend. Thankfully, we opted to forge ahead with our plans and were pleasantly surprised at how nice this campground was. VERY clean - I didn't see any run down RV's at all and we enjoyed walking down by the river as well as walking the adorable little pathway through the woods. The proximity to Stowe was great for spending time in town. We drove the Notch Road to Smugglers Notch, visited Cold Hollow Cider and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. VERY limited Verizon cell, but we were able to get tv through satellite & watch the Sunday Patriots game, so all was good! Wifi was typical for RV parks - good enough to check e-mail & that's all we needed it for. Sites are a bit close, but I've come to expect this from Private campgrounds/RV parks. Thankfully, we had very nice RVers on both sides, but wonder if the 1am "quiet hours" would be a problem if we hadn't gotten hospitable neighbors... Overall, great place & would definitely return!

This is probably the closest to a resort as you'll get at a Family Campground. New family owners began 5 years ago to revamp this entire CG. Their attention to detail is second to none. The owners meticulously clean each site after a guest leaves. The bathhouse/restroom/laundry building is only a couple years old and is better than our former home bathroom! Showers are unisex individual complete bathrooms. The driveways are exceptionally well maintained with no potholes, level gravel as are the Deluxe sites. Campground has RV, Tent and Cabin sites. Two swimming pools, one heated and a 4-person hot-tub under the pavilion. Propane refill on site, dump station & large trash bins, good stock in store. Camp WiFi is ok but bogs down with a full camp. Cell service is hit/miss on both Verizon & AT&T. RV sites are divided into a Deluxe Patio, Prime and Basic. The Deluxe sites are terraced and spaced wide enough for comfort yet close for visiting. Plenty of play area and trail along the river. The playground equipment could be replaced as they do show age. VT-15 is right on the North property line but we were one of the closest sites and it didn't really bother us. Lot's to do around the area, hiking, biking; provisioning is just down the road - Tractor Supply, Groceries etc.

River front is about 200 yards from the river you can’t see. However sites are wide and easily fit my 45 foot class A. Well kept and very clean. Lots of in and out traffic. Middle row seems to be for full time residents. Lots of junk stuck under and around them. Road very dusty need gravel badly. Blowing dirt a daily thing while sitting or cooking. No awning like tents allowed but several people put them up anyway. Leashes not enforced.
Very nice spot
I’d stay again
Despite zero WiFi
Free WiFi at the CG doesn’t work
No AT&T service

We traveled with a trailer and stayed in site 132. The site surface was grass and dirt. Loved the location to so many things to do. We biked the entire Lamoile River trail that is 1.7 miles from the campground, we also ran it one day. Store was well stocked, and staff seemed friendly. Campground is on a river, it was running a little low while we were there but it is so pretty and our dogs enjoyed it. Bathrooms were clean and facilities nice, almost looked new.
Only con is the traffic on 15A that the campground is on. You could hear traffic from the sites and there was limited place to walk dog’s or hike directly from campground.
