Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 21, 2022Camped here in a 40' 5th wheel mid August, 2016. We were in the A loop. Site states that max length is 35' but we had no problems booking through rec.gov with out proper length.
We arrived on a Monday and the place is empty except for one motorhome and a tent. Great access to Natural Bridges, Valley of the Gods, etc.
Visitor center in Blanding is a wealth of info. Nearby groceries also.
No hookups but there are several water spigots where you can fill jugs. They do not have hose bibs so you can't fill your fresh water tank from a hose.
Pit toilets are clean.
You do get road noise from 191 but it's not too bad.

I loved the camp sites with their tables and big stone fire pits. My site was further from 191 AM’s had no noise from it. It was clean and level and i had plenty of room for the trailer and truck. Pit toilets were also well cared for. Friendly host.

Large sites with paved roads, concrete pads for picnic tables and fire rings. Lots of different site configurations to choose from. Convenient location to Moab, Monticello and Blanding.
If road noise bothers you, choose a site further to the west!
Cleanest restrooms we've seen in the southwest. Firewood is free for the gathering and encouraged.
Don't miss the Quirky trail at the very end of loop B. Plus the fantastic Edge of the Cedars Museum and State Park is only 11 miles away. Superb collection of artifacts.

What a pleasure it was to discover this Campground! Roads are in great condition. Paved sites, great fire pits and picnic tables. I would not say every site is a Gem but 95% of them are. Senior Rate is awesome considering this is one of the better Parks I have stayed in. Bathrooms extremely clean and water available. Campground Host very welcoming and helpful.

Very nice campground located right off the highway, but far enough back to be quiet thanks to the towering pine trees. Sites are level and clean with a concrete pad that contains a nice picnic table and firepit. Well maintained and clean campground.

No dump station. Dump 8 miles south at Blanding RV Park for $5. Paved. Some pull thrus. Water faucet very close to site 15 where you can fill jugs. Good Verizon signal. Just off US 191 so some highway noise during the day, but quiet at night. Highway noise louder on Loop B. Great for star gazing. Not too hot during the day due to elevation. Friendly helpful camp hosts. Price paid reflects 50% senior discount. Camped in a 31 foot 5th wheel.

Devils Canyon NFS campground was a great location to stay for 5 days while we explored the area. We took day trips to Natural Bridges National Monument, Canyonlands NP Needles District, Valley of the Gods SP, plus shopping in Monticello and Blanding.
Our 40 ft fifth wheel fit easily in site 5 and would have fit in several others. Many sites are reservable on Rec.gov so you have to watch the site tags to avoid reserved sites.

After stopping at all of the free sites between Bluff and here and finding them full, I was grateful they had open spots. Arriving at midnight was no problem- the gate was open and I paid in the morning. They do not accept to “Annual” national parks pass, so it is the full $10 per night unless you have the senior pass or access pass. Water was not turned on for the season as of my stay on May 9. Flat spots, picnic table and fire ring. I stayed in loop B, and there was a lot of space and privacy between sites. There is a mountain bike/ ohv trail, but it was rainy and muddy so I didn’t ride.
