“Hundred year-old healing hot spring”

Sure, Woodstock may be long over, but at Mystic Hot Springs, the feeling of peace and love and music is still very much alive. Visiting is like stepping back to the 1960's/1970's, simpler times. But the best reason to come to Mystic Hot Springs is for, of course, the hot springs. They've got 8 vintage bathtubs (cleaned daily!) placed around the property, and they're filled with water from the springs. The warmest tubs are 7 and 8, perfect for soaking away muscle aches and stress. Tubs 1, 2 and 3 are awesome for the views-- taking in a summer sunset or winter meteor shower from the steamy, relaxing tub of mineral water. There are also larger pools, a shallow one for kids and a deeper one for adults. Since you'll want to make a weekend of getting as much soaking time as possible, you can rent out a quaint, romantic cabin on the property. There are 4 restored pioneer cottages with varying amounts of heat and electricity, and even multiple badass restored buses, complete with beds. Seriously, it's the perfect hippie getaway. They're in the process of creating an entire pioneer village of cabins, plus they've always got tent and RV camping if you're feeling the outdoorsy vibe. And, if you decide you want to stay forever, they've got permanent housing on the property. Since the guy who founded it, Mystic Mike, is a former Dead Head, you can expect all kinds of musicians to put on concerts and performances. People will frequently set up and do acoustic sets right by the tubs, so you can enjoy some music while you soak, which is pretty rad. With its distinctive lodging, warm vibes, and relaxing hot springs, there's nothing else quite like it...you're guaranteed to leave feeling a whole lot more peaceful.

The hot springs are really cool, but the rest of it is a bit run down. Junk all over the place and very smelly restrooms. Good for a one night stay, but I don't know if I could have stayed longer than that.

Oh my gosh this was the most amazing place -- we sat in various hot springs for a couple hours. The springs are open 24 hrs. And we (a family of 4) spent the night in a converted tour bus, complete with electricity and lit inside by Xmas lights. Coolest stop ever on a road trip!!!!

We went to Mystic Hot Springs in March 2017. After driving for 2 hours to get there along a long highway without much to see we rolled into Mystic Hot Springs, UT. I was prepared for a rundown antiquated experience. And I was not disappointed. True it is not the Taj Mahal but it's quirkiness lends to the flavor of Mystic Springs. We paid our admission and we were greeted by a charming woman who showed us the changing rooms and how to get to the springs. They have an eclectic gift shop. The posters on the wall from all the concerts that have been there are amazing. I met the owner and asked if he had any for sale ? He brought out some classic posters, let me pick out what I wanted and the cost was minimal. We decided to go to the man made pools for our soak. There is a concrete pool that is a good size. The water was warm and relaxing. You can see the pipes that bring the water to the pool on top of the hill. One person stated the pool could be warmer and the owner walked to the top of the hill and allowed more water to run thru which warmed up the pool considerably. You can also see off in the distance the old claw foot tubs with a build up of mineral deposits gathering around them. There was also a large shallow pool with water flowing thru a fountain which heated that pool. It looks like it would be a great spot for the kids. We climbed a small hill to soak in the claw foot tubs. A once in a lifetime experience. My husband and I fit in it quite easily. There is a good view of the surrounding grounds. I throw back to the 60's and the "Hippie" movement. Old buses, a covered stage area for concerts (you can soak and be entertained at the same time), The cost may seem high for some but the adventure was worth it. If you ever get to Utah I would spend half a day lounging at Mystic Springs.

Love this place. It's a super hippy, laid back, casual spot. My friend and I rented an 1800's pioneer cabin for $100 bucks for the night, had electricity, nice furniture, wood stove, we were warm all night. The hot springs are crowded during the day, not too bad at night and empty early in the morning. Get up early to watch the sun rise and get yourself a tub, the tubs are the best part. Some are hotter then others.

If you are looking for something else to do in the area Freemont State Indian Park is 20 minutes away, $6 dollar entry, totally worth the stop.

We love this place. None of the sites are level. The electric is iffy. The soak is included in your stay. The price above is for 2 people. It's clean. It's just not tidy and it's not perfect, but then again it is. This is a must do in your lifetime kind of place. We were lucky enough to see a double rainbow while we were here the second time. If you like geese there's a surprise for you.

AT&T and Verizon were solid. I didn't check the T-Mobile. I'll update if we do. But who wants to work here? That's not what it's for. Chill out and soak while looking at the sunset over Utah's mountains.

When we arrived, I didn't know what to make of this place. The RV sites looked like a parking area for old school buses. There is a lot of artistic clutter around too. When we checked in, We met Mike the owner. He was great. We had to sign a disclaimer with the hot spring rules etc. Mike told us to pick any site that worked for our 40 foot RV. Some are 30 amp, however there are a few with 50 amp. A tent camper came over and helped us out. There is a slope but we were able to set and level in a site in the middle of the row. The water pressure was good, the electric and sewer worked as expected. No wifi or cable TV, we were able to get over 20 OTA TV channels. The rest rooms were dated but clean.
The hot springs were great. Two large pools and several single tubs higher on the hill. We soaked and watched shooting stars one evening.
The school buses can be rented for overnight stays and are in various levels of upgrades. There are a few cabins near the office too.
The general appreance is unkept. Not sure what the history of the location is but the hot springs are the draw. Every employee we met was friendly and gave us good information on the area.

We laughed when the confirmation said "check your expectations at the door." Does this mean that it was going to suck? Staying here meant 1) Don't expect cabana service, 2) don't expect towels, 3) don't expect wait service, 4) don't expect food for purchase, 5) don't expect a bar. Really, don't expect anything and you'll have an amazing time. It's true. We pulled in (caution: stop on the road as soon as you see the "Mystic Hot Springs" sign, near the old Pioneer village remnants of old cabins. DON'T try to drive up into the office area because there's no room to turn around. I checked in and was told to pick whichever RV site we wanted. I liked that. Sites are full hookup and you're surrounded by tent campers and renovated buses that are really neat. There are bathrooms, a dish washing station, and outdoor showers available. There's a large park area next to the RV sites with big shady trees so you can lay around and relax. We visited in July and there were zero mosquitoes (they usually eat me alive anywhere I go). You get a wristband and our rate included 2 adults admission to the hot springs which are open 24 hours. There was a free concert that night that we were unaware of, and it was an incredible bluegrass band, so we ended up soaking in tubs watching a concert under the bright night sky... it was our last night on a big camping trip and I couldn't think of a better way to end it. There is a little market in town if you need anything, but try to take everything you'll need with you as I'm sure the market has limited hours. Monroe is a super tiny town but larger towns are ~30 mins away. This was a VERY cool experience worth seeking out. Checkin was 3PM, checkout was 1PM!

Truly a unique oasis in central Utah! This was not my first time here but it had been years since my last visit. Mystic is all about the hot spring pools and tubs however there is a sweet grassy park area to camp at which also has old hippie school busses converted to artfully crafted lodging. The hot spring water is tapped at 1500 ft below the surface and is then channeled out to 2 large pools and several tubs on the hillside. A great place to kick back, soak your bones and sink into bliss! Not to mention, the owner of the facility, Mystic Mike, was a gracious host and super knowledgeable about the springs, geology and the area in general. The price above is per person per night for an RV site with electric. Soaking is an additional fee. All well worth the price.
