“Hundred year-old healing hot spring”
Sure, Woodstock may be long over, but at Mystic Hot Springs, the feeling of peace and love and music is still very much alive. Visiting is like stepping back to the 1960's/1970's, simpler times. But the best reason to come to Mystic Hot Springs is for, of course, the hot springs. They've got 8 vintage bathtubs (cleaned daily!) placed around the property, and they're filled with water from the springs. The warmest tubs are 7 and 8, perfect for soaking away muscle aches and stress. Tubs 1, 2 and 3 are awesome for the views-- taking in a summer sunset or winter meteor shower from the steamy, relaxing tub of mineral water. There are also larger pools, a shallow one for kids and a deeper one for adults. Since you'll want to make a weekend of getting as much soaking time as possible, you can rent out a quaint, romantic cabin on the property. There are 4 restored pioneer cottages with varying amounts of heat and electricity, and even multiple badass restored buses, complete with beds. Seriously, it's the perfect hippie getaway. They're in the process of creating an entire pioneer village of cabins, plus they've always got tent and RV camping if you're feeling the outdoorsy vibe. And, if you decide you want to stay forever, they've got permanent housing on the property. Since the guy who founded it, Mystic Mike, is a former Dead Head, you can expect all kinds of musicians to put on concerts and performances. People will frequently set up and do acoustic sets right by the tubs, so you can enjoy some music while you soak, which is pretty rad. With its distinctive lodging, warm vibes, and relaxing hot springs, there's nothing else quite like it...you're guaranteed to leave feeling a whole lot more peaceful.

The hot springs are really cool, but the rest of it is a bit run down. Junk all over the place and very smelly restrooms. Good for a one night stay, but I don't know if I could have stayed longer than that.
Oh my gosh this was the most amazing place -- we sat in various hot springs for a couple hours. The springs are open 24 hrs. And we (a family of 4) spent the night in a converted tour bus, complete with electricity and lit inside by Xmas lights. Coolest stop ever on a road trip!!!!
We went to Mystic Hot Springs in March 2017. After driving for 2 hours to get there along a long highway without much to see we rolled into Mystic Hot Springs, UT. I was prepared for a rundown antiquated experience. And I was not disappointed. True it is not the Taj Mahal but it's quirkiness lends to the flavor of Mystic Springs. We paid our admission and we were greeted by a charming woman who showed us the changing rooms and how to get to the springs. They have an eclectic gift shop. The posters on the wall from all the concerts that have been there are amazing. I met the owner and asked if he had any for sale ? He brought out some classic posters, let me pick out what I wanted and the cost was minimal. We decided to go to the man made pools for our soak. There is a concrete pool that is a good size. The water was warm and relaxing. You can see the pipes that bring the water to the pool on top of the hill. One person stated the pool could be warmer and the owner walked to the top of the hill and allowed more water to run thru which warmed up the pool considerably. You can also see off in the distance the old claw foot tubs with a build up of mineral deposits gathering around them. There was also a large shallow pool with water flowing thru a fountain which heated that pool. It looks like it would be a great spot for the kids. We climbed a small hill to soak in the claw foot tubs. A once in a lifetime experience. My husband and I fit in it quite easily. There is a good view of the surrounding grounds. I throw back to the 60's and the "Hippie" movement. Old buses, a covered stage area for concerts (you can soak and be entertained at the same time), The cost may seem high for some but the adventure was worth it. If you ever get to Utah I would spend half a day lounging at Mystic Springs.
Love this place. It's a super hippy, laid back, casual spot. My friend and I rented an 1800's pioneer cabin for $100 bucks for the night, had electricity, nice furniture, wood stove, we were warm all night. The hot springs are crowded during the day, not too bad at night and empty early in the morning. Get up early to watch the sun rise and get yourself a tub, the tubs are the best part. Some are hotter then others.
If you are looking for something else to do in the area Freemont State Indian Park is 20 minutes away, $6 dollar entry, totally worth the stop.
This place is awesome! While soaking in the springs your view of the mountains are incredible!! Staying in the cabin which is perfect. Nice friendly people all around.
I read reviews prior to going so I was prepared for the sort of junky appearance upon arrival. This place definitely has a Woodstock/hippie vibe to it, and I loved it! The experience was laid back, relaxing, soothing, and overall great. I went with my best friend as part of our girls trip week through Utah, and we can’t wait to come back. Make sure to bring a water bottle to fill or plenty of water, they require you hydrate often, and I was definitely very thirsty after soaking. Highly recommend!
I loved this so much!!! My kids didn't love it, but I did. The water felt so nice after driving all day long. And the 'hippie vibe' is just relaxing.
Beautiful!! $33 for one night camping and soaking tubs access. There are also old hippie busses rented out. Eclectic, beautiful, relaxing.
