“It's All Gravy!”
The name Magic Grill was chosen by Michael Rodriguez as a tribute to his mentor, Ray Pierce. Magic Grill was the name Mr. Pierce used when he opened his first grill in 1959. Michael selected the Top Hat logo to represent Magic Grill’s top quality and top service. It is with Ray’s blessing that Michael has achieved his life long dream. Michael Rodriguez first met Ray Pierce at the age of 12 years old while working at the Sterlington Quick Stop, owned and operated by the Pierce family. Michael was in charge of crickets and shiners. It was there that Michael first learned the importance of customer service."Treat customers as family" was the way things were done. At 15, Michael started working at Pege's, in charge of french fries. Mr. Pierce made sure everyone had "hot fries". 20 years later, Michael returned to work for Mr. Pierce and it was with his help that he saw the right way to take care of customers. Mr. Pierce taught Michael that the right way was not to cut corners...fresh shredded lettuce, fresh diced onions, homemade onion rings, and to serve top quality food not the least expensive. This is Ray's Way. Take care of the customers and they will take care of you. This is the philosophy that Magic Grill will adhere to each and every day. "Y'all come back!"
