US fast battleship
Really interesting self-led tours. Be prepared for narrow spaces and steep ladders. Secure shoes recommended! This deep dive into life on a battleship (and in a submarine on the other side of the park) was fascinating.
Very cool! Explored the whole ship & airplane hangar.
July 2018 - I took an obscene amount of pictures here! Just the absolute neatest thing we could have visited. This was a way-point on our trip to Orlando for my son's high school graduation trip. I loved it. My son and his friends weren't completely thrilled, but I think as they get older they would be (or had they not been in a car since 3 AM across three states, LOL). Definitely a must see. I will go back for sure.
I didn't know this place existed until I saw a giant battleship sitting in the water. I was truly amazed that this place is just sitting there for people to visit! If you have any interest in military vehicles than this is the place to stop.
I thought that I would be so bored here but wanted to take my dad because he really wanted to go. I was so wrong. It was very interesting! It was hot in July so plan to bring water and snacks!!!
