This is a very nice little RV spot right of I-29. Friendly owners. Very clean and well kept. Large clean bath house and Laundry facilities. Lots of Pull-Thru Sites so you do not have to unhook if you are only spending one night. Nice pool and playground for the kids. There is really nice pond/small lake for fishing or you can rent a canoe. We pulled in about 3:00 pm for an over night stay while traveling through the area. We had a pleasant relaxing afternoon.

We only stayed one night. The park was OK, bathhouse was clean. The spots are super tight and even though we had a pull through, we had to back out the way we came in - I believe we were between 2 campers that were living there full time and there was no way to get out in either direction in order to pull through. Camp owners were friendly and it was quiet and convenient to I29.

This was a very tight pull-thru campsite. Our slide was practically in our neighbor’s slide. The sites are gravel and muddy because there had been rain. The laundry room was clean. There was lots of beautiful green space. There was a pool. Getting to the laundry room was a bit of a trick because you have to go around the pool or climb a hill. The long gravel entrance road was hilly and narrow. The office was a portable building with only a 6’ ceiling height.

Do not let the one-lane dirt road scare you off! It is barely a mile down the road but worth it. Owner operated. They live on site the lower level of their home is laundry, exercise room and restrooms. All spotless!!!! Our site was next to the lake and very peaceful. You can hear highway noise when outside but not offensive. Could not hear it in RV. We have a 32 ft Voltage fifth wheel and dually. Spot plenty long enough to stay hooked up. The hookup side of your rig is close to your neighbor hookup side, BUT we had a very spacious front yard with tree, grass table and fire ring. Definitely would stop here again. If you have young ones with you there is a great playground, sparkling clean pool and fishing ponds. Stop here!

Friendly and helpful owners are perks to this campground. $28 with Good Sam discount (must show membership card). Small but refreshing pool. Clean facilities - great water pressure in showers. Level sites. Little privacy but they park you opposite your neighbor so that helps. There isn't really a "lake"; just a small pond (no swimming). We were grateful for the overnight stay as most of the options further back (north) on 29 were closed due to flooding this season. Yes, short country (dirt) road to campground but no problem. Had to give low rating on noise due to highway traffic and the barking dog at the adjacent site. If we were staying more than one night, we would have said something - but we were grateful for the availability and electric.

Just off I-29, North of St. Joseph Missouri. Quiet (except some truck traffic off 29) clean neighborhood type camp grounds. The owners, Sandy & Dale, are super Hosts. Check-in was easy and simple. They led us to our site. We have stayed here twice in the past year. The sites place you back to back with your neighbor but you still have enough room for your slide-outs and a grassy front yard with nice tables and fire-rings. The owners are constantly adding flowers and gardens. Very clean laundry and restrooms. Pool and large playground areas. Small fishing lake for catch and release fishing. Has John-boat and Canoe rental. Most of the Campers were very friendly and helpful just like a home town neighborhood. Sites may be tight to some, but you still have room out front for picnics, visitors and just plain relaxing.

I only stayed one night while driving across the country in an Airstream. Had a pullthru site right near the pond. The table was on a steep incline so not good for eating at as everything slid off. The host said we could use a table a little ways from our trailer which we didn't use. Overall the camp was maintained ok and not a bad place to stay short term. We could hear the highway but the camp itself was fairly quiet as far as other guests. It's down a long dirt/gravel road so your rig will be filthy once you get there so expect to spray it down. If you're carrying bikes or towing a vehicle it will be a mess. The road is hilly but easy to navigate. Hookups were close to the trailer and in a good position. Host said the water pressure is high so use a regulator.

First night of a 2 month outing... close to interstate (convenient). Gravel county road was very dusty but only 1/2 mile to campground. All sites gravel but easily accessible, trees provide shade. Nice campground. Enjoyed time in St. Joe, flea markets and dinner.

AOK is conveniently located off the Interstate and judging from reviews it appears to be the better RV park/campground in St. Joseph. The park is really divided into two areas, one for short term stays and one for long-term stays. The long-term stay area does have much of the junk that collects around a trailer so isn't the most attractive looking place. However, I walked my dog around there at night and it was quiet. I think the owners do a good job keeping things in line.
The area for short-term stays is located near the lake and consists of mainly pull through sites that share a utility area. There are positives and negatives to this layout. You will end up sharing the grassy area with your neighbors, but it is a good sized patch so it's not a big issue and you won't have to eat lunch next to your neighbor's sewer hookup. Of course a site at the end of the row gives you your own grass patch.
The park has done a nice job manicuring around the lake and added some picnic tables and a few short trails in the woods. This is in addition to the playground and swimming pool (that we did not use). The campground does abut the interstate so you will hear some traffic noise but I did not think it was too bad. Overall the campground is a nice place for a few days. I'm not sure I would stay here longer term unless I needed to be in St Joseph for an extended period.
