Had the AC blower on for noise in a well insulated camper and still got woken up several times. Those trains like their horns. Other than that it is functional, it looks like the county fair grounds and you can park in a gravel area or in very close sites on grass. Rained quite a bit before we got there so gravel was the only option. Water and dump station available, you probably could even do full time water and electric without a problem if you got the right site. Walking distance to grocery and shopko. Right off of 29. Would stay again for overnight but wouldn't stay for more than a day. Maybe during the fair there are 110 sites but at normal times I would say more like 20. 3 overnighted the day we stayed.

This is a first come/first served park. Electric sites are $15 per night, tent sites are $5 per night.
In addition to being the city park, it also serves as the Harrison County Fairgrounds. There is a self pay station near the large covered picnic shelter. There's easy access for larger rigs. The interior roads are asphalt. Upon entering the park, we weren't sure where to park, but chose to park alongside the white fence near the electric boxes since that area was mostly gravel. The electric box was on the other side of the fence. We had 50 amp service. There were no site numbers or numbers on the electric boxes that we saw. There are water faucets conveniently placed along the fence line, but not near the electric. There were no picnic tables or fire pits. There is a grassy area where I believe you can park also, but there was a “no parking” sign along that strip of grass the night we stayed. Although they were available, we didn't use the restrooms/showers or the dump station. There's no fenced pet area, but there's ample space to walk pets. There is a playground and a train for children. Verizon data and cell worked fine. There were trains that passed by, but they didn't bother us. We would stay again if passing through the area.

For $15 you get 50a electric and water right off the highway! I wish every city had a place like this. If your in the area please use it. We have a 40ft with a toad and no problem at all.

What a quaint little spot in the city. Beautiful area to stay especially with kids, either overnight or a few days. Playground has a splash pad in the city park for the kids and yes there is trains that pass through but didn’t bother us at all/ or the kiddos. It is camping in their fairground section along the white fence , there is 30 and 50 amp electrical to hook up to and every other spot has water to hook up to also. The pay area is a box with envelopes and a deposit box, next to it is the wooden brown colored display of rules and map. We will definitely come here again when we pass through. P.s. take the long way around so you don’t get caught by the trains passing.

Great place to pull in for the night. Not every site has water from what I can tell. Right off the interstate, other than the train it was quite. Easy to get back on the road in the morning.

We were passing through & needed a place to stop. This was fine for a quick overnight stay. Very basic and great rate but there are train tracks right next to it. We had earplugs so it worked for us.
