For pasta and an eclectic, very romantic atmosphere, try the descendant of the now-defunct Loring Cafe. Cozy and comfy with amazing bar and marble/stone bathrooms, it's a better venue for lunch and wine dates than dinner as the food is generally too pedestrian to justify the high prices for tiny servings.
