“family tradition of casual dining in this historic olde tyme setting”
The Riverdale Tavern, built in 1917 by Charles A. Green, has been owned and operated by his granddaughter, Patricia A. Foster, since 1979. Located near the center of the Michigan mitten, Patricia, her children and grandchildren continue the family tradition of casual dining in this historic olde tyme setting. Our unique style of serving, called "just" has been our trademark for almost 75 years. Open 9 am until 10 pm Monday thru Saturday, closed on Sunday. We serve from an expansive menu, featuring Icelandic cod, every evening from 5pm till 10pm. Our sandwich and appetizer menu is available anytime. Reservations are not needed, large parties are encouraged to call ahead for seating. The original tavern room allows smoking, however we have 2 non-smoking dining rooms available anytime. An additional outdoor picnic area is also available, weather permitting. The Tavern has a full service bar. Our family extends a warm welcome to our ever increasing family, our customers!
