Richardson's Cafe

What most folks in Mathews remember as Richardson’s Old Reliable Drug Store, with the orange Rexall sign hanging out in front, has been re–opened as Richardson’s Cafe on the corner of Main and Church Streets in the heart of Mathews, Virginia. The soda fountain counter is available for seating, along with tables, booths, and sidewalk dining during fair weather. The food you’ll enjoy at Richardson’s today includes more than the soda fountain fare that was common back in the old days. In addition to hamburgers, sandwiches and ice cream, folks can enjoy daily specials including salads topped with barbeque shrimp or grilled chicken, steaks cooked to perfection by Richardson's chef, fresh made paninis and soups, and much more. Draft beers and wine by the bottle or glass are also available, and sodas, milkshakes, and sundaes are guaranteed to satisfy any sweet tooth.
