Welcome to Savoury's Restaurant featuring a menu of simple, fresh dishes that meld culinary traditions near and far. The dining room is sleek, spare, and stylish, decorated with dried plants and nature photos and art. Chic but casual and featuring well-oiled service. Proprietor Mirriam Platto had catered in the area for years, and customers often urged her to follow her dreams and open a restaurant. Now that she has, the results are extraordinary, with a menu of simple, fresh dishes that meld culinary traditions near and far: Bolognese sauce on penne pasta, chipotle-pesto chicken, spicy shrimp diabla, and hand-cut steaks. For dessert, dig into a decadent panna cotta on a bed of strawberry sauce or the addictive lemon mousse. The dining room is sleek, spare, and stylish, decorated with dried plants and nature photos and art.
Simple and laid-back, since this is California, and a remote part of Cali at that, but you won't find a better sit-down meal outside the lodges near Yosemite... and it's nice to get away from that scene once in awhile. Anyways, you can order wine here, and relax, and enjoy some fresh, light, well-prepared food.
