We decided to get away. We learned about Buck Creek Campground while searching online. When we called the Campground, our questions were answered and a discount was given for being a Veteran. We really only knew what we saw online so the experience was yet to happen.
When we arrived in Marion, navigating off I-40 onto 70, and then on 80 was great. The roads were smooth and 80 was recently paved. Signage was great for Buck Creek Campground and we found ourselves at their drive in a short period of time. As we pulled down the drive, I saw Buck Creek to my left. It was beautiful.
Our misery turned in to marvelous as we absorbed Buck Creek, the Campground, our neighbors and their RC planes (very cool), and the beautiful fall colors. Internet access at our site was incredible (Ping: 31 ms; Download: 13.71 Mbps; Upload: 4.22 Mbps via Speedtest.net by Ookla) and the cable had plenty of channels and options.
On the final night of our stay, we enjoyed a campfire with wood provided by the Campground. This has been a marvelous experience for us!

We stayed at this campground on our drive down from Virginia to Georgia. This was a good spot close enough to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and other attractions. This campground has terrific hook-ups, and cable. Their Wi-Fi is excellent, and phone service is good. The campground is large, but the sites are really tight the site we had was about 8 feet from the other campers slide out, to tight for comfort. Our site was pretty leveled dirt and gravel drive between pine trees. The bathhouse was clean, but small, and the laundry had only one washer and one dryer for such a large park. The staff very helpful and courteous, this is a good place to do a stop over. There is also a Camping World about 2 miles from the campground.

Clean and comfortable park. T-Mobile cell service is spotty throughout park, I got 2 bars of 4 g with my booster sometimes, but was not reliable.
Verizon is strong.
Good secure WiFi throughout park.
Very nice and friendly staff with good knowledge of the area.
Gravel road and sites, sites are a bit narrow, but rig was easy to back in due to ample room opposite sites.
Digital over the air tv signal only found 4 channels.

Peaceful, wonderful staff/owner. Very accommodating, good healthy mixture of nightly campers and full timers. Lots of room to stretch out and enjoy the landscape. We would visit again!

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Buck Creek RV Campground in North Carolina. This was a really serene and well kept campground with exceptionally nice and helpful staff. Justin, the owner is very thorough and gives you quite a bit of information concerning the campground and surrounding area when you check in. They routinely come by and check on you and and to see if you need anything. The campground is not overly crowded with nice spots that give you a sense privacy. A rambling creek runs along the campsites with 2 swimming holes and a very large field to run your pets. We have a large rig (41' Vilano) and we fit in perfectly. We will definitely be back and are already planning a couple of trips next year. Thanks Justin.

The first thing to note, is the staff here is beyond impressive. Upon checking in, we were informed of a few restaurants, hiking, and backroad drives.
Next thing to note, the property is absolutely beautiful and well spaced.
The only downfall of this park, is there is virtually no cell service. This is only issue if your trying to work (Such as our instance). With a WeBoost, the best we would see is 1mb up, and 8MB down. The wifi is great, but unreliable.
Overall a great park, but would not recommend if you are working from the road. If you are just looking for a great convenient place to stay, stop reading reviews and book this place!

We stayed here for a long weekend for the Marion Bigfoot festival this year. Our site (3) was great. Nice a roomy due to a rock garden between 2 and 3. The stream was great to listen to and watch. If it were 20 degrees warmer the swimming holes would have been great to use. Firewood was available and very reasonable. Bathroom/showers were clean and the water was hot. Verizon cell coverage wasn’t great but the Wi-Fi screamed. Cable TV was a great amenity. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful in pointing out local water falls and trails.
Asheville, Black Mountain and Mount Mitchell are close and worth the trip.

We have stayed here several times over the last year. Each stay has been great. Lauren and Justin are the best! Beautiful Buck Creek runs beside the campground. There’s a huge grassy field on the other side of the campground, opposite the creek side. Great for people traveling with dogs. A good experience every time we have stayed here. Highly recommended!!
Terrific grounds, quiet, handles all sizes of rigs, clean washroom and friendly staff. One of our favorites for years.
