Haunted Bridge - Bellamy Bridge Historic Site

Went, but there's a trail that leads to it and it can flood. So bring hiking gear and probably some insect repellent if you really want to see this. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it. Oh, and your gps will get you close. But the trail is located really close to the presently used bridge.

I love things like this. The actual name of the bridge is Bellamy Bridge, and there is a very well-marked trail to it. Also, Hwy 162 has small signs showing the way. There is a maintained dirt parking lot w/a port-a-potty. I agree w/the insect repellent advice. It's swampy Florida. The trail is not very long, but deep enough into the woods to feel creepy. There are some posted descriptions of the history of the bridge and the ghost stories that have cropped up around it.

Went yesterday super cool and peaceful. When traveling there head past The gps market and you will come to a circle parking area. The only bad thing was that it rained a few hours earlier. We ended up having to make a little mini bridge to get across the first area but the second "river" had a great walkway. There is a great geo cache in this area, defiantly try to look for it.
