We stayed here to be close to family and meet up with some traveling friends. We ended up with 3 Airstreams all in a row next to the playground.
Some of the sites are weird to get into because they put the trailers next to each other on the utility side (w/e sites) so your door will open into more space. It just meant that out back window was facing the road. It did feel like we had plenty of space though!
Pool wasn't heated, so it was a bit chilly but the kids got in anyway. They had fun on the playground with friends, I got laundry done so it was a win.
Kind of far from downtown Minneapolis, but check out Elm Creek Preserve for their mountain biking and nature center.

This was an overnight for us on our way to Colorado. My first stay at a KOA. I thought it was very nice. Quiet spot. Had water and electric. Staff very friendly and helpful. You are guided to your spot. Area very clean. You have to wind in from I35 but easier access from I94. Close to Minneapolis

Stayed here for our first trip of the season for our shake down trip. This is a nice clean KOA and what you would expect from a KOA.
The park is pretty far from any services and it is on the 101 highway, so you’ll need a car to venture beyond the park.
Our site was level and clean and about half way into the park. I could see road noise being an issue if you had one of the sites that directly backed up to the highway, but we didn’t notice it at all.

Contactless checkin to be safe, spacious sites, and trees. One loop was entirely empty so had a good route to walk dog. We were happy.

Very clean and quiet campground. Employees were friendly and helpful. The site was level with gravel base. Space between sites was adequate. Sites had picnic tables, fire rings and most were shady. The laundry was well maintained. We did not use the showers, pool or mini golf.
Wifi was awful; Verizon phone was great. Note that if you’re turning left out of the campground, the traffic can have you waiting a bit.
The 30 and 50 amp electric was odd. They were staggered every other one with 30 on one side and 50 on the other and the 50 was locked up,

If you need to work or make future reservations, cell reception here is not great. WiFi is terrible, I can barely get a web page to load so had to use my hotspot. AT&T weak 2 bars. This campground is good for a quick stop. Regular KOA stuff - playground, pool, showers and camp store with limited hours.

Reservations were made on the KOA website so were super easy. Getting to the camp is circuitous and you definitely need mapping software. Check in was easy with a very friendly couple running the shop and a cart guide to lead us to the spot. Check in had to be by 8 pm or call ahead. Our pull through site was very level gravel. Oddly, power and water were on the “wrong” side. Power had an open neutral but worked fine. The sites are close together but there is tree cover. Each site has a fire pit and a picnic table. There is a nice pool and a somewhat dated kids play area. AT&T has good 5G reception. There are a huge number of channels available by antenna. Wifi didn’t work but who expects camp wifi to work? Great access to the Twin Cities while not feeling urban.

Sites are close together, but the campground is well kept, clean facilities, friendly staff, and pet friendly with a K9 fenced area.

We love this campground because it’s very close to family so it’s convenient to visit. There are lots of trees so the grounds are shady. Our grandsons liked the mini golf. It, like a other things in the park feel dated and in need of a sprucing up. The concrete around the pool has been patched and patched, very rough. That said, it’s a nice size and very refreshing on hot days.
