“for people of all ages”
The Penny Arcade is a great attraction to take people of all ages if you are planning on visiting Colorado Springs! The arcade is located just outside of Colorado Springs in Manitou Springs. It is called the Penny Arcade because it has games there since the 1950's if not earlier where you can play games for only penny. If you are looking for a place to find some lost games that you have not seen or played for centuries the Penny Arcade is the perfect place to go. The Arcade is located just off Main Street and consists of several little buildings, every building has it own atmosphere.penny arcade prizes The games that are located at the Penny Arcade is everything from the latest games like guitar hero to several pin ball machines the games cost depends on how old the game is like some ball machines could be a dime while others could be 50 cents. Other great games there are skeeball, racing games, deal or no deal, shooting games, and games you will not be able to find anywhere else. One of the most popular rooms is the Horses. Where you roll a ball into a hole at says 1, 2, or 3 to make you horse move and the first person to the finish line wins. You can compete up to 12 other people. The games costs 50 cents to play one game and you could win a Penny Arcade mug or up to 60 tickets which you will be able to redeem for prizes like stuff animals to candy and so much more.
This is one of those nostalgia-esque places that anyone over 40 will appreciate and anyone younger will be amused by. Pinball machines from the 50's to the 80's adorn the right half of the arcade while electronic games from the 70's and 80's fit snugly on the left. You might not spend hours here, but you'll be kicking yourself if you didn't at least drop in.
I love this little town, Manitou Springs, and this arcade! It is hidden right off the main street behind a candy shop that pulls taffy. There are old-school wooden skee ball & horseracing games. Also, tons of little ride-ons for toddler-aged kids. If you are traveling with wee ones, I highly recommend stopping here!
Just visited. Still running. Great place.
