“A 201-acre Park”
Orchard Beach State Park is situated on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. A stairway leads from the campground to the beach and self-guided hiking trails are adjacent to the park. We have 166 campsites, one mini cabin, two paved handicap sites and two rest room and shower buildings. We also have a large shelter building sitting atop the bluff which is available for rent for reunions, meeting, etc.

There are only a few sites worth staying in, their ocean view makes the close quarters more tolerable. Try and get site: 41, 43, 44, 45, or 47.
The state park has a very small beach that can be accessed by a set of steep stairs located near the campsites with the ocean view.

The girl working the front desk was so nice. The views of Lake Michigan are divine, but only in the end sites. We stayed in 34 and had an incredible view. We were supposed to stay a week but canceled when we got there and realized the beach was closed forever. It’s been washed away.
Most of the sites are not level.
No cell signal. Unusable 1x. We didn’t get out our booster.

Enjoyed our stay here. Typical state park where the sites aren't very private and crammed in a bit. Electric hookup at site, no water/sewer. Dump station at front of park. Beach is closed due to (I think) erosion. You still can walk up and get a GREAT view of Lake Michigan. Showers and bathrooms were clean. There's a great 2 mile hike across the road from the park thats dog friendly. Network was solid enough (AT&T) to stream TV on our phones. You do need a Michigan Recreation Passport (day or annual) on top of the price of the campsite.

We loved it here! The sunsets are something to see! The sound of the waves while you sleep gave us all the best sleep! The hiking trail across the street is 3 miles and worth it!

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet campground. It backs up to Bluffs that offer a spectacular sun set view every night. No beach access. There is a stairway that goes partially down and offered an interesting view. Several campsites on the south end have a spectacular view out over the lake. City beach 1 mile away is fantastic, also dog friendly. Very much enjoyed our stay.
