Donovans Steak & Ale

We began working toward our goal of opening a quality steakhouse in Malone in the Fall of 2007. Through a lot of hard work and a little luck, we were able to open at our original location on Rt. 37 in Malone in July of 2008.  We purchased our current location at 3853 State Rt. 11 in Malone in 2010. Since opening, we have focused on providing quality food at an exceptional value with top notch service. In addition to the restaurant, we have expanded our business to include a food stand at the Franklin County Fair. At The Fair we introduced a local favorite, a prime rib sandwich known as the "The Artie," which is named after Donovan's father, Art, who is our bartender.  We are excited to announce that we are now able to add catering to the list of services we can provide to our Malone area customers. Whether it is a luncheon at the office or a wedding reception of any size -- we are able to accommodate all aspects of your catering needs (including the ever so important service of alcohol!).   Executive Chef Michael Oesterling: Michael brings much enthusiasm and knowledge to Donovan's Steak & Ale. Providing guest with traditional favorites to exquisite meals, Michael is a truly diverse chef.   He prides himself on consistency in everything that leaves the kitchen and providing our guests with quality food that is affordable to our audience. But beyond that, Michael is a joy to work with and his kitchen runs smoothly because of the atmosphere he creates. Michael is a trained chef with a bachelor's degree from Paul Smith College.   Thank you for taking the time to check us out and hopefully we will see you in the near future!
