“drive behind a million-year old waterfall!”
Hanging Rock is a major Madison, Indiana landmark. The pull-off from Hwy 7 allows drivers to drive behind the falls, which will drip during dry weather. The rock is over a million years old!
It's only really worth seeing if it had rained in the previous 2 days, or during the winter when the water freezes. It's a bit of false advertising, as there really is no "waterfall" as people picture when they hear the word. Still a good place to see, if you can get here just after a nice heavy rain (though too much rain will close the road).
Kind of weak if there isn't a lot of water run off. But glad I took this route to see it.
