“Made by the love of cooking”
When two people love to cook, and love the old school style of brick oven pizza, it just seems right for them to open a pizzeria. Chuck and Heather started The Red Tomato Pizzeria in 1994 and their love for thin crust pies baked on the bricks seems to be shared by thousands of shoreline residents. Located in the picturesque town of Madison Connecticut, this quaint restaurant’s dining room seats 40 and often has a line of regulars waiting to enjoy their dinner. In addition to the regular menu items, Chuck will often offer a “Made from scratch” weekend special like: Broccoli Rabe or an Escarole and Bean pie. These specials are available only while the batch of ingredients lasts, and usually sell out quickly. Their signature pie is the White Clam Classic – made with freshly shucked clams – and is described fully in the menu. Whether you prefer the old school traditional (without mozzarella), the House Special, or anything in between, you will love the taste of the fresh, quality ingredients used at The Red Tomato Pizzeria. A true “Pizzeria” The Red Tomato serves pizza, calzone, salad and antipasto, with beer, wine and soda available in the dining room.
